GAP Sets One Privacy Standard Across Four Markets

The Challenge

GAP's Shanghai office is laid out around glass. Meeting rooms open onto the floor plate through full-height partitions, and the same architectural language is used across the brand's regional offices. On a busy working day those partitions do more than divide space — whatever sits on a laptop screen inside is legible to anyone walking past.

The same condition repeated itself in three other markets. Each office sits in a different building, under a different landlord fit-out and a different schedule, so any answer had to be repeatable rather than bespoke: one specification that could be applied locally in each location, with no structural change to glazing that was already in service.

The Solution

Celaeno® Film was applied to the glass partitions at all four locations over the course of 2025, for approximately 100 m² of film in total. The film works as an optical filter rather than a frosted panel: from the aisle, on-screen content stops being readable, while from inside the room the glass stays clear and the partitions keep doing what they were designed to do.

Each office was installed by an authorized Nanhai Display dealer working to the same specification — no structural change to the glazing, no electrical supply, and no downtime for the teams working behind it.

The Result

The rollout brought all four offices onto the same standard. Meeting-room screens are no longer readable from outside the glass, while the openness of each floor plan is unchanged. Because the specification was set once and installed locally, each market received the same result without a separate design round or a second round of approvals.
