Louis Vuitton Adds an Invisible Layer of Privacy
At Louis Vuitton’s China headquarters in Shanghai’s Jing’an district, designers continue to move between offices and meeting rooms, reviewing design drafts and new-product samples as they always have. Yet that same activity—visible through the building’s transparent glass partitions—once carried the risk of being exposed to anyone outside.
In February 2026, Louis Vuitton partnered with an authorized Nanhai Display dealer to install approximately 600 square metres of Celaeno® Film across core workspaces, meeting rooms and sample display areas.
The film’s transparent grey tint blends naturally with the headquarters’ existing neutral palette. From the outside, screen content dissolves into shadow; from the inside, the space remains bright and open. Conventional frosted films may block prying views, but they also strip glass of its clarity. Celaeno® Film behaves more like an optical filter: the people inside scarcely notice it, while anyone outside is unable to read what appears on the screens.
The project has now been formally signed off by Louis Vuitton’s facilities team, marking another refined reference for Celaeno® Film in a luxury office environment.
