What Is CISCO 's Clear Office Glass "Leaking"?
CISCO is a global technology company focused on networking hardware, software, and telecommunications equipment. The company develops and provides networking, cybersecurity, and collaboration solutions for enterprises, service providers, and governments worldwide.
In CISCO offices across Shanghai, Beijing, and Shenzhen, engineers and product managers work with code, customer data, and product roadmaps on their screens. Yet much of this information was once visible to anyone walking past the large glass partitions—until a layer of Celaeno® Film was applied. From the outside, screens fade into darkness; from the inside, the space remains transparent.
In July 2026, CISCO partnered with an authorized Nanhai Display dealer to deploy approximately 200 square meters of Celaeno® Film across glass partitions in core office areas and meeting rooms. The deployment covered locations in Shanghai, Beijing, Dalian, Shenzhen, Hefei, and Hong Kong, China.
For CISCO, information security has never been limited to firewalls and encryption. As clear glass becomes standard in modern offices, visual data leakage through physical space has become another gap that must be closed. Celaeno® Film allows CISCO to preserve its open-office aesthetic while restricting on-screen visibility to those inside the room.
The project has passed acceptance by CISCO 's facilities team. CISCO said it will evaluate privacy film applications in additional office spaces to further strengthen physical information security.
